Global Education Summer Culture Camp

Carson-Newman University through its Global Education program works to strengthen the international and intercultural dimensions of the campus through a diverse range of curricular and co-curricular programs. Central to the mission of the University, the Center for Global Education provides enhanced programming that is committed to the Christian values of servanthood, leadership training, and global outreach.

Summer Culture Camp

During the summer, Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, Tennessee welcomes students from partner schools and universities to campus for a summer camp program. In the past, we have welcomed groups from South Korea and Taiwan for various internships or intensive English instruction, but the camp is customizable based on student interest. The dates for the program are flexible, depending on the length of the camp. The program includes on-campus instruction from a few of Carson-Newman University’s current faculty.

For cultural immersion, there are multiple off-campus activities and excursions to choose from. Carson-Newman is in a unique and historic area in East Tennessee and is close to many popular outdoor and indoor attractions. Transportation for students to these optional excursions will be arranged. Carson-Newman itself has an equipped gym with a pool and both indoor and outdoor athletic courts/fields. Meals on campus will be provided through the university’s cafeteria, and students will stay in furnished on-campus Residence Halls. Please contact the Center for Global Education with any questions or inquiries.
